We are sad to share that our friend and beloved Trustee passed away last week. Steve loved his family, his community, and he loved Temple College, where he devoted much of his time serving as a member of the Board of Trustees from 2006 to 2024. In lieu of flowers, Steve’s family asks that you please consider making a donation to the Temple College Foundation, where an endowed scholarship will be created in his honor. The scholarship will support students on their higher education journey. Checks may be made payable to the Temple College Foundation and mailed to: 2600 S. First Street, Temple, TX 76504. Please include a note indicating that the donation is in honor of Steve. If you would rather pay by credit card, please use the link to make a donation.
It is with heavy hearts that Temple College's shining light has passed. Amber was known to have a warm smile for each person she met. Her impact on helping students financially will carry on. We would like to keep her memory alive by continuing this legacy through a memorial scholarship endowment. The scholarship will support students on their higher education journey. Checks may be made payable to the Temple College Foundation and mailed to: 2600 S. First Street, Temple, TX 76504. Please include a note indicating that the donation is in honor of Amber. If you would rather pay by credit card, please use the link to make a donation.
The Temple College Foundation supports Temple College by providing a means of receiving and administering gifts on behalf of the college. These gifts can be used to support student scholarships, programming, emergency aid, capital improvements and more. Our goal is to make sure that financial need never gets in the way of students achieving their academic dreams. Please join our efforts to support our students.
My dream is to become a Labor and Delivery nurse. As a mom of two, I know how important nurses are when welcoming a new bundle of joy to the world. I want to be there to help in any way possible, when the mom is going through so many physical and mental changes. I want to be able to see a new mom look into their new baby’s eyes and understand how love has a different meaning. Through Temple College, I’m able to do clinical rotations on the L&D floor in my fourth semester of nursing school, which will open opportunities to meet the staff and learn how things are run.
Major: Nursing
After I graduated from Temple High School, I chose to attend Temple College and major in mathematics. Temple College has been a great experience for me and has allowed me to stay in Temple and continue to work at Ralph Wilson Youth Club. Through my experiences as a student athlete and my work at the youth club, I have gained an understanding and insight into the impact that a coach and teacher can have on the youth that they work with. I hope to make a difference as a teacher and coach by being a positive role model and motivator for my future students.
Major : Math and Education
I fell in love with Temple College as they valued the potential and success of their students rather than judging solely off of an audition. Their welcoming arms and musical opportunities have allowed me to see that there was truly no other place for me to achieve my musical dreams than Temple College. Through their wonderful music program, I am receiving weekly private lessons from one of the most talented professionals in the field of music and advancing faster than I ever have.
Major: Music
I feel like studying the major of CIS at Temple College will guide me to accomplishing my dream: being able to help others with the background that I have for a lower price compared to other major institutions in the US. This is why I have chosen to study the fields of CIS at Temple College and Cybersecurity (IT) at a major institution so that not only would I situate myself in a job that'll be able to provide for myself and a potential family, but to also contribute in any projects or help others in need of assistance concerning IT or Cybersecurity
